About This Event
The Center for Biological Diversity and Friends of the Tampa Bay National Wildlife Refuges are pleased to kick off 2026 with a special Ales & Wild Tails event celebrating the extraordinary diversity of bird life found along Florida’s coast.
Please join us for an engaging talk with Jeff Liechty, Sanctuary Manager at Audubon Florida Coastal Island Sanctuaries. Jeff will share insights into nesting ecology, ongoing conservation efforts, and Audubon’s more than 90-year history of monitoring and managing nesting islands throughout Tampa Bay to protect seabirds, shorebirds, and wading birds.
We hope you will join us to learn more about this important work and connect with fellow supporters of conservation.Ales and Wild Tails is cohosted by the Center for Biological Diversity and Friends of the Tampa Bay National Wildlife Refuges. Running November through March, it takes place on the second Wednesday of every month (weather permitting)
The Center for Biological Diversity works to protect endangered species and the lands, waters, and climate they depend on—using science, law, and storytelling to keep the wild alive for future generations.
Thank you to The Ale and the Witch for hosting this event!
