About This Event
Embark on an immersive photography adventure at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve, a 245-acre sanctuary in St. Petersburg, Florida, renowned for its diverse ecosystems and abundant wildlife. Guided by conservation photographers Alex Freeze and Ethan Coyle, this workshop offers participants the opportunity to capture the preserve's natural beauty, from serene lakes and marshes to lush pine flatwoods and hardwood hammocks. Whether you're using a smartphone or a DSLR camera, you'll learn to create visually impactful images through fundamental photography techniques. This experience is designed for all skill levels and includes a guided walk through approximately two miles of scenic trails. Following the workshop, enjoy lunch, engaging conversations, and an exhibition tour at the Wild Space Gallery. Please note, participants must be 15 years or older, and a $15 reservation fee is required. Space is limited, so secure your spot today. Remember to bring a water bottle—refill stations are available along the trail—and wear appropriate hiking attire, including a hat and closed-toe shoes.
